For solar installers

Hand us the AC side of the job

You mount the panels and set the inverter. We take the electrical from the inverter to the meter, and the paperwork that comes with it.

Your crew is on the roof while ours is at the panel. The diagram stays one document, and you hear when each step moves.

  • The disconnects, conduit and wire to the main panel

  • The meter socket or service work, when the site needs it

  • A backup panel, when the customer is adding a battery

  • The permit application and the utility application, filed as you agree

  • The labels and grounding the inspector looks for

What we need from you

Four things per site

With these we can quote the electrical without a second trip.

  • The single-line, or a plan set

Your draft is fine. We mark it up and draw the final.

  • The equipment list

Inverter and battery models, so the disconnects and the backup panel match them.

  • Photos of the main panel and meter

Door open, door shut, and the meter face on, so we can see what is already there.

  • The address and the owner's contact

We work on Oahu only, and the utility and the city want the owner named.

What comes back

What you get from us on each site

In the order you will want it.

  • 01

    Questions first

A short list of what the utility and the inspector would ask of this design, before anything is filed.

  • 02

    A written quote

The electrical as separate lines: labor, materials, the diagram, the permit and the utility application.

  • 03

    The finished diagram

Drawn for the permit and the utility, in the form they accept.

  • 04

    Status at each step

A text when the permit, the inspection or the utility moves, so your customer hears it from you.

Questions from installers

Can you work under my name on the application?

Yes, if you are the installer of record. Tell us at the first call and we fill in the forms that way.

Do you take only large systems?

We take what is on Oahu. Send the site and we will say whether the timing works.

Do you do the roof work?

No. We do not mount panels or touch the roof. We wire from the inverter on.

What if the utility returns my application?

Send us the comments. We work out which are drawing changes and which are wiring changes, and quote any wiring change before we do it.

Send the next site

A single-line diagram or a plan set, and we will come back with questions and a written quote.
